What Is The Plastic Around The Back Of My Earing?

I just bought some earings(just got my ears pierced) and there is this plastic, see through circle connected to the back of the earing. Is that supposed to stay on? Or am I supposed to somehow get it off of there? THANKS from a naive girl.

    are these the earrings that you got your ears pierced with? If so its probably just there to make your earring more comfortable until you can change them.

    lol it stays on, its just a different type of earring back

    leave it on, its there so you can turn the earring easier which you need to do cause its a new piercing
