I am a 24years old girl and I usually have to travel long distances even at nights according to my work. Sometimes I have to travel alone and sometimes we are in groups. Though the driver is there who picks me up and then drops me at my house but still my parents were constantly worried that I used to travel late nights as my job demanded. They wanted to give me a security device so that if any untoward incident takes place then they can locate where I am and in what situation I am because one of my friends’ was found dead in her car a few days ago with its left window smashed and its wheels jammed into the divider. Even over a week after what was initially thought to be a road accident, the police have no clue about who could have shot the 25 year old. All that the working women of the town and their worried families have got so far is a comment from the administration of the town that women should not be too adventurous. But for those who have to work, often late into the night, commuting to office is not a luxury, a testing of freedom’s limits. It is a necessity. This incident just shook my parents and somewhere even I was distressed that I had lost my dear friend. Although we have made a huge progress still women are alone and unsafe. But again we even cannot deny the fact that while we have made huge progress in technology and communication, today we have many devices which we can use even when we are away from our home. We have cell phones with what we can easily communicate with our associates and inform them about our whereabouts. Some more innovative equipment which the women who are working for late nights can use is the hidden cameras or the spy cameras. These are the equipments which can be used very easily any where and every where by all. The hidden camera is so neatly and elegantly fixed in the object that it cannot be located easily and the culprit will never know his actions are being captured in a simple and ordinary looking object. These hidden cameras are very sophisticatedly built in many regular looking objects which are used very often everyday like the toys which the children are fond of [Teddy bear], clocks, room fresheners, pens, cigarette cases, neckties, ear phones and many more objects. If the working women carry these elegant cameras along with them while traveling, then they can easily record all the proceedings through out their journey and then this will further help the parents and the police to locate where and how they are trapped and then can get help from their side.
