Hair Bows are really cute and if done properly, they give a cool style to your kid and also complement her hair style. From a classic bow to a fancy round-a-bow, you can make many hair bows that reflect your child’s true style. Although these hair bows are simple to make, some require sewing or using a hot glue gun. So you may want to create them yourself or supervise your child when she makes them.

Making a shoelace bow with front braids is as easy as tying your shoes and the effect can be magnified many times when you combine materials to make it more intricate. Adding them on these side braids brings a new twist to an old hairstyle. In this article you’ll learn how to make one of the very popular hair bows i.e. Shoelace Bow with Front Braids. So let’s get started.

    Items you will require -

    * 18 inches of strung sequins

    * Three 18-inch ribbons, 1/8 inch wide

    * 1-1/2 inch barrette

The pattern on this ribbon gives you a shoelace bow which looks very good and almost unbelievable. To get that pinched look at the ends of the tails, trim each end so that it comes to a point at the center, then fold the two sides back and glue them together before you add the stars.

For cutting the strung sequins to the proper length, put glue on the ends of the string to keep the sequins on. Then hold the sequins and ribbons together about 4-1/2 inches from the ends. Form a loop about 2-1/2 inches long. Wrap the materials loosely around the base of the loop to form a small circle around it and then feed the materials through the circle to form a second loop, just as if you were tying a shoelace. Pull the two loops in opposite directions to secure the bow, just as if you were tying a shoelace. Adjust the loops and the tails so the two sides are symmetrical. Then stick the barrette to the back-side of the brow.

Add a personal touch to your hair bow with a photo of your pet, your best friend, some hunky guy, or even a picture you’ve drawn yourself. Just glue the picture to a piece of colored cardboard and slap it on the bow. When gluing novelties to the bows, think about what direction the barrette is in. If you’re putting on a picture or a message, make sure it will be right side up when the barrette is in your hair.

Braiding is a difficult technique to master. Don’t be discouraged if you have trouble the first time you try it. Keep trying even if you fail multiple times; your fingers will eventually get the hang of it. To create front braids, follow these instructions:

Fully part the hair beside the center of the head, brushing each side into a ponytail just behind the ear. Fasten each ponytail with a coated band. Place a ponytail styler behind the coated band of the ponytail on right side, loop end up. Draw the ponytail up through the loop. Softly holding the ponytail, pull the ponytail styler down so that the ponytail is pulled through behind the covered band. Hair flips over and drops down. Cross-section the ponytail into three equal-size strands. Cross the right strand under the center strand and draw the center strand to the right. Cross the left strand under the center section so that these two strands exchange positions. Keep working in this way and crossing sections to the end of the ponytail. Secure with a coated band. Repeat on the ponytail on the left side

When it comes to girls, there can nothing be more important for them than their beauty. They are rated as the top most beauty conscious creature on this earth and good hair are certainly a nice addition to their repertoire. That is one of the reasons that there are so many hair care products on the block. However, the other thing that enhances the importance of good, shiny hair is that girls can go with different styles and these hairstyles can really change their whole personality. Whenever there is a party, the hairstyle has to be different and it is because of this need that you can find all of the beauty parlors and hairdressers bulging with people.

Short hair style: Short hairstyles for little girls could be quite easy to do and also to keep. To make this, the hair lengths are to go a little past the ears in quite a simple fashion. If you remember, as an instance, Dakota Fanning who sports many attractive fashions in short hair style. Short hair style us good for active girls since they won’t get all messed up during playtime and these hairdos can be easily cleaned by their mothers.

Medium Hair style: Since the hair styles here lie in between long and short, appropriate washing and brushing is needed as well as being more measured of tangle ups in conditions such as swings and other play way activities. Medium hairstyles are made up for this, by allowing for an abundance of cute hair style. From braid, to cute tieback, to slight curl and the end, there are plenty of to choose from.

Long Hairstyles: It is now proven that any hair length longer than little girl’s shoulder is generally not recommended for those little girls unless one takes the time to look after it i.e. for the hair properly. If anyone has seen the movie ‘Curly Sue’, that small girl’s hair were very long and equally curly, but what almost all the parents got to understand is that they can easily get tangled, tied up, and can become very dirty. Therefore, just like an adult’s hair, a lot more care is required for little girls who have longer length hair.

Some useful tips for girl’s hair style

One should not use too many hair products or tools for the little girls. One should try different styles since little girls seem to go for many more hair styles as possible. One should keep hair styles simple since after all they are still younger ones who would run and play almost all the day!

TIPS: Fine hair with natural wave or curl to it can be worn longer and still look great. Use curl enhancing products to boost the curl and the hair will look fuller. Fine hair can look thinner if it is layered too much. Unless you are going for a pixie cut, try and keep any layering to a minimum or let the hair remain one length.

Emo hair styles are an expression of individuality. The Emo hair style and cut are some of the most obvious symbols that people are into the whole Emo scene. In 2008 Emo hair styles are becoming increasingly common, although it is becoming more difficult to ascertain whether those with the hairstyle are true to the Emo scene or not. Emo hair is usually symbolized by a black coloring that is normally brought from a bottle.

Emo look is a cool latest fashion and it is thereby quite obvious that many people are making efforts to fit into that genre. Apart from the emo dress, hairstyle is another essential thing that greatly contributes to a perfect emo look. Not abiding to the basics or traditional fashion trends, Emo girl hair ideas are the ones that have their own sense of fashion, which makes emo girls stand out from the crowd.

The emo hairstyles for girls may consist of a straight fringe above the eyes and reasonably long hair extensions dyed usually black but other lighter colors such as white blonde are also accepted.

This goes for girls! Let your hair grow in the front and side parts so they cover your face. In the back you can let it short and spike it up with gel! Some do that, some don’t! If you have short hair, the first months are going to be a pain, because you won’t be able to make your hair look “emo”. As it grows, comb it towards an eye in the direction that you want. After 3 or 4 months, when the fringe reaches 3/4 of the way down your forehead, go to a hair dresser that looks professional, and get it thinned out and have it trimmed so that it will grow in the right shape.

All girls who want Emo hairstyle, you’ll need to straighten your hair, with either an iron or gel. If your hair is wavy, just use hairspray/gel to weigh it down. I suggest buying a hair straightening iron and use a good moisturizing shampoo to prevent your hair from getting damaged. Tip: If you wash your hair too much, this can dry it out; that doesn’t mean you don’t have to wash it at all, just bleach. If you consider dyeing your hair, dye it black. The other colors are not so cool and you’ll look like a clown, in my opinion. After 3 or 4 months, your hair should look like you want. From that point, you should go to the hair stylist monthly for your hair to be thinned and stuff.

    Steps

It is not at all difficult to have soft, smooth, and shiny hair. Just follow these few simple steps and you will have beautiful and luxurious Emo hair in no time.

    • Brush your hair several times a day. Brushing helps remove the dirt, dust, and grime that get trapped in your hair. It also helps distribute the natural oils produced by the scalp, from the roots to the tips.
    • Apply shampoo every alternate day and condition it everyday. Shampooing on a daily basis may strip off the natural oils that moisturize the hair. Conditioning it, on the other hand, restores lost moisture and keeps the natural oils in place. Use cold water as much as possible when washing your hair. This seals the hair cuticles and locks the conditioner as close to the hair follicle as possible.
    • Give your hair a hot oil treatment once every two weeks. Mayonnaise or egg yolks can be used as an alternative to expensive salon treatments. Spread mayonnaise or egg yolks combined with olive oil all over your hair, concentrating on the ends. Cover your hair with a shower cap for 10-20 mins and then rinse well.
    • Eat lots of food rich in B-vitamins and proteins, like bananas, soybeans, avocados, eggs, grains, and red meat. The nutrients found in these food items are responsible for healthy and shiny hair.
    • Refrain from using heated styling tools and alcohol-based styling products as much as possible, as this can easily dry out your hair. If it cannot be avoided, use thermal styling tools and water-based styling products, which cause less damage to the hair.
    • Grow your hair out; the front and side parts so they cover a good portion of your face. Some people grow out the back. If it’s short in the back, you can spike it up with gel, but this looks tacky if it gets too long. Have it cut around the ears, and keep the back and front in a ‘blended crop’ cut, otherwise here comes the tacky again. Also, don’t have too long of an ‘Emo fringe’, or you look like a poser. If you’re a girl make sure you trim your fringe regularly, make sure it is longer and goes past your nose but not past the bottom of your face.
    • Layer your hair. Get lots of long choppy layers about half way down your hair, and short choppy layers the rest of the way up. Make sure you spike it up a little toward the front, but not all the way up.
    • Straighten your hair, with either a hair straightener or gel. If you straighten it often, then use heat defense shampoos and sprays to keep your hair healthy. If your hair is wavy just use hair gel to keep it down! Remember that emos can have curly hair, be unique and try it out!
    • Dye your hair black, brown, or blonde. Not all emos have short black hair (although that screams Emo). Try to make it unique by adding random streaks of colors like pink, blue, green, or blonde. Make sure to bleach the hair before using colors, or it won’t blend. Be original. If your parents are strict, get semi dye or colored extensions.
    • Accessorize your hair. Girly bows are the best! Add them randomly to your hair. Also use wicked hair clips with bats or spiders! Remember not to go overboard while going for Emo Girl Hair and to add accessories gradually or you will look like a poser and also very stupid.
    • Take care of your Emo hair, don’t over do it and make sure you don’t just come into school one day with “Emo” hair or you will be called a poser. Start with it cut, then accessories a couple weeks later, and then another couple weeks later get color.

    Tips

    • Tease the top and back of your hair, then add hairspray. It makes your hair look fuller.
    • If you’re getting a hair dye from a hair salon, make sure its permanent. If you’re doing the coloring yourself, use drugstore dye; make sure that it is permanent if you’ve got lighter hair.
    • Straighten your hair in small sections, especially if you have thick hair. Don’t sweep the straightener through your hair. Slowly straightening your hair will make it more pin-straight.
    • Try not to wear your “Emo hair” in a ponytail! This could look stupid and childish!

    Rules such as:
Boys can not have earings, where girls can
Girls can not have short hair, boys have to
Boys can not have longish hair, girls can have whatever legnth
And no stupid comments. Think about it, long haired boys wont have it down to their waste. I mean stereotypical ‘emo’ hair.
    What do you think?
    I think it’s just sexist. x
