you shouldnt really change the way you look for a guy or any other person, i mean i know makeup and earings helps you be abit more confident in yourself but i dont think you should.
because makeup is not showing the real look of you.
some of you say its not for us guys you do it for, it for you and you think it makes you look pretty but from one guys perspective when it comes to lipstick, mastara, eyeliner, earings and fake nails its not a big turn on or it doesnt mark out pretty that much.
i find it more pretty without it. the only makeup i dont mind is probably the foundation because it looks natual on your skin and you can hardly see you have it on and i know you girls like to wear it as it hides any spots ir scars and stuff.
anyway this is just my opinion and i was not having ago but i just thought id share it with you, now i want your feedback please

i can understand where your coming from, but like some other people have said its not (well not in my case) to impress anyone, its just a way to show your style.. and yeah, me too i just put on make up even if im not going out or seeing anyone, but it makes me feel better, and as for foundation, i swear i couldnt live without it knowing you have some really obvious spots sometimes ruins your self-esteem and some girls even result in covering their faces (partly) with hair.

Wow, that’s REALLY such a compliment coming from a guy! I love make-up, it boosts my self-esteem and confidence. Sometimes, just putting on make-up even cheers me up when I’m down. I do not just do make-up to get the attention of guys. It is more for myself. But whenever I put make-up, I just want a natural look.
Hearing something like that from a guy makes us girls feel that you’re not really into physical appearance alone! :) Thanks a lot.

i think that you have an unusual opinion on makeup, from boys ive talked to anyway. i dont wear much, and i hate seeing girls put on lots, even if it doesnt match their skin tone, when they would be so much prettier without it, withreally simple makeup.
    sigh.

Unfortunately they’re not & girls will always be expected to wear make-up, & dye their hair, & have fake nails.

its refreshing to hear a guy saying these things. So many girls out there cake themselves in make up to make them look older or to “pull” boys, but its not necessary! some guys really do prefer the natural look, they know what the girl looks like – they arent hiding behind a mask.
Ive never been one to wear loads of make up, i wear eye liner and mascara but thats because i want to make my eyes stand out that little bit more as they are my best feature. My boyfriend says i dont need make up at all and yes i do agree with him on some levels but after a night out, the next morning i need that little bit of mascara just to make me look half alive!!
    thank you!

The female race is all about looking good to feel good. And this puts a lot of pressure to many women. Women try to do the stuff you have mentioned for many reasons. One, they feel a lot better when they see themselves very fashionable or elegant or hip. Two, there’s a silent competition among women. “Who looks better than who” kind of competition. Three, they do it for their guy. Four, they do it to get attention – mostly, from their apple of their eyes and who is often a guy. Five, its fun!
For me, I wear some make-up to prettify. I’m not fond of seeing those who overdo it. Make up is to enhance the best in women and not hide who or what they look.

Lol, i used to where quite alot off make up intell i realised i didnt care what people thought off me, it was really scary and ridiculas, i couldnt even walk my own dog without feeling ugly i spent like 2 hours getting ready or more. and my dog was asleep by the time i was ready to take her out.
so now i just where a LITTLE bit off make up thats quick to apply like foundation lipgloss and mascara and cover up..
but i understand what you mean, but females need an extra boost so make up is gonna forfil that confidence.

Well the first thing i have to say is sometimes , we do it for ourselves , we need to feel pampered when there is no one to pamper us. I personally dont do it to impress anybody, Its just routine and i find im a creative person and in terms of make up thats how i express it. Thats right girls are perfect the way they are, personality it most important i think , so whether they look bad without make up , or a clown with heaps of make up it doesnt make a difference to the person they are. “Dolling” up for girls helps with confidence and self esteem, Thanks for raising this question, im pretty sure alot of people will see different points of view.

Well dear boy, It’s just a matter of opinions that some girls love to put on makeup and some only like to put on a little. I do agree some girls look beautiful without makeup yet only a slight bit of makeup they look beautiful. I bet there is women you’ve seen that are beautiful yet you don’t realise they only slightly but a bit of makeup to touch up, most women are doing this nowadays. And then there is the other women with eyeshadows, fake eyelashes, blush all over their cheeks and heavy foundation. Looks awful but some ladies prefer that and it also depends on the occasions. I’ve seen girls as young as 14 putting on SO MUCH makeup only for school, ridiculous and then they try to cover up their acne and you can see this powder foundation over many little bumps – disgusting. But i understand what your saying, there is the natural face and the dramatic. Again you probably don’t realise the natural looks they wear makeup!
