I had a friend who told me this story about a girl who didn’t clean her earings-even though I do–and the earing was pushing through the ear and she had to go to ER and have surgery to remove it. Painful and gross I know.

    Yes, a couple months after my daughter had her ears pierced the back of one of her ears started to grow over the back of the earring. I was able to get the back out with a tweezers and did not have to visit a doctor. That’s why when you get your ears pierced you have to rotate the earrings and clean them often. But after they have been pierced for a long time I doubt it would happen.

    yes as gross as it is, they can grow over

    Yes, that is possible. That is what happens when people don’t take care of their piercings.
