Are You Usually Allowed To Wear Jewelry In High School Xc Races?
Posted by Blogmaster in Earings, tags: Allowed, High, Jewelry, Races, School, Usually, WearI want to get my ears pierced but cross country season will start in a few weeks and I know it takes 6-8 weeks for the hole to become permenant. But I know in track they make you take out earings before a race. I’ve seen pictures of girls in cross country races wearing small earings before who go to my school, but I don’t know if they just happened to get away with it for that race.

No. You can’t wear any jewerly except for religious necklaces that are taped to your chest. You will get disqualified, but I would check with your coach or other teamates first because the rules might not be the same in every state.
normally, they’re not allowed to wear jewelry, especially at state meets or big invitationals. you can get DQed for wearing earrings or bracelets, even those little plastic bracelets girls make out of the soda things. however, some little meets or meets with nice people will allow you to ear earrings at the most. or some will let you put bandaids around your earrings, but then again, some picky people won’t even let you ear bandaids. when in doubt, don’t wear them. you don’t want to take any chances. a lot of coaches will look for any of that kind of stuff to get you and your team DQed so that they have a better chance of winning the race.
my advice to you would be that if you want to get your ears pierced, it’s best to get them done at the beginning of the summer, when you don’t have any races coming up. I got mine pierced on Christmas my freshman year, and i started racing all-comers, and i had to take them out, and the holes closed, and i pierced them again after they healed from infection. it hurts a lot, i don’t want you to take any chances.
i’m from Califoria, btw, i’m not sure how other states do it, but we normally aren’t allowed to wear any type of jewelry
high school they dint let you wear any accessories but a watch.
my friend wanted to wear his lucky shoe lace on his wrist but they didn’t let him, why? i have no idea but they just don’t
i dont think they do.becuse you can get injured and it would be the schools fault for letting you wear it. ask your coach
